Sandboxie-Plus is a sandbox-based isolation software for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows NT-based operating systems. David Xanatos has developed it since it became open source. In fact, Sophos previously developed it after acquiring it from Invincea, which had earlier obtained it from the original author, Ronen Tzur.
Sandboxie creates an isolated operating environment that resembles a sandbox, allowing applications to run or install without permanently modifying the local or mapped drives. This isolated virtual environment allows for controlled testing of untrusted programs and web surfing.
